This intimate 1 Hour program begins with a brief orientation, then enter the lagoon to learn about dolphin’s behavior. Meet, kiss, hug, pet, and feed dolphins in deeper water for the first ½ hour then the session continues on our private lagoon beach area for the remaining half hour. Enjoy meeting and interacting with two of our friendly dolphins in the most intimate and natural of settings, our lagoon beach.   • A 15-20 minute educational presentation prior to entering the water with the dolphins.

The Dolphin Facility is located on a private island called Salt Cay which is about 30 – 40 minute ferry ride from Paradise Island. You will get complete written directions with your ticket. Free Round Ferry Trip Transportation for all Participants from Paradise Island.

  • The Paradise Island Ferry Terminal is located between the two main bridges that connect Paradise Island and Nassau Bahamas.

Redemption Instructions

Upon arrival, please proceed to check-in window, present your dolphin program confirmation number or your last name, which you will receive after making your reservation via email or text.

  • Confirmation number is a must for entrance.
  • You do not need to have a printed voucher.
  • All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.

Refunds / Cancellations and Changes:

All cancellations must be received by Dolphin World / Keys Adventure Tours, Inc. in writing by email or regular mail.

  • A 10% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations prior 31 days of activity date.
  • A 50% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 30 – 15 day period prior activity date.
  • A 75% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 14 – 8 day period prior activity date.
  • Prior 8 days of your reservation date, you may change your reservation to a gift certificate, where you would not incur any penalties except the change fee. This gift certificate will be good for 1 year from the date of the certificate.
  • NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS who cancel within the 7 day period, does not show up, are late for scheduled program(s). Once a reservation has a confirmation number and confirmed, a refund or change can only be made more than 7 days of the activity date and any change to the program date is subject to availability. Changes made to existing reservations are subject to a $25.00 per person change fee.

What type of boat takes guests to Blue Lagoon Island?

Guests travel to Blue Lagoon Island aboard spacious, double-deck catamarans designed to carry more than 100 passengers. The vessels are operated by licensed crews, include life jackets and required safety equipment, and remain close to shore during the approximately 20-minute ride through Nassau Harbour and past Paradise Island.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Blue Lagoon Island excursions normally operate every day, including days with rain. Refunds are generally not issued for poor weather unless the operator cancels the excursion. If severe weather is affecting Nassau, guests should check the status of their scheduled ferry before heading to the terminal.

How many guests participate in the dolphin programs?

The Dolphin Swim is typically limited to groups of up to 10 participants. The Dolphin Encounter can accommodate a larger group on the platform, with smaller groups of approximately 10 guests entering the water at one time.

How deep is the water during the Dolphin Swim?

The deeper sections used during the Nassau Dolphin Swim are approximately 10 to 25 feet deep. Participants wear mandatory life jackets, which help them remain comfortable and buoyant throughout the program. Short wetsuits may also be available when conditions are cooler.

Do participants need swimming experience?

Guests do not need to know how to swim for the shallow-water Dolphin Encounter. For the Dolphin Swim, life jackets are provided and required, although basic swimming ability is recommended because part of the experience takes place in deeper water.

How many guests are allowed in the water at once?

Up to 30 guests may be present on the Dolphin Encounter platform, but only smaller groups enter the water for the interaction at one time. Dolphin Swim groups are generally limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

Where is the Blue Lagoon Island check-in location?

Guests normally check in at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal, located between the two bridges on Paradise Island. Arriving about 30 minutes before ferry departure is recommended to allow enough time for check-in and wristband distribution.

Is the ferry terminal within walking distance of Atlantis?

Yes. The Paradise Island Ferry Terminal is located near Atlantis, Marina Village, and the marina. Guests staying in several Atlantis towers can usually reach the terminal on foot in about five minutes.

Can wheelchairs be accommodated on the ferry?

The large catamarans can generally accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Guests with mobility needs should confirm specific accessibility arrangements in advance so the crew can be properly prepared.

What should guests bring for the day?

Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, change of clothing, and any required medications. A light jacket or windbreaker can be useful during cooler months for the ferry ride. Guests may also want a credit card or cash for photographs, souvenirs, beverages, and optional purchases.
