Children’s Age and Height Requirements

  • Children’s participation is based on age and height
  • Infants ages 1 to 5, or minors under 48 inches / 1.21 meters, may join the Dolphin Shallow Water portion of this program. These younger children must be accompanied by two paying adults per child
  • Children ages 6 to 12 who are over 48 inches / 1.21 meters but under 56 inches / 1.40 meters may participate
  • These children must be accompanied by one paying adult per child
  • Children ages 13 and older who are over 56 inches / 1.40 meters must pay the adult rate
  • Guests ages 13 and older who meet the height requirement may participate on their own

  • You do not need to have a printed voucher.
  • All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.

Refunds / Cancellations and Changes:

All cancellations must be received by Dolphin World / Keys Adventure Tours, Inc. in writing by email or regular mail.

  • A 10% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations prior 31 days of activity date.
  • A 50% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 30 – 15 day period prior activity date.
  • A 75% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 14 – 8 day period prior activity date.
  • Prior 8 days of your reservation date, you may change your reservation to a gift certificate, where you would not incur any penalties except the change fee. This gift certificate will be good for 1 year from the date of the certificate.
  • NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS who cancel within the 7 day period, does not show up, are late for scheduled program(s). Once a reservation has a confirmation number and confirmed, a refund or change can only be made more than 7 days of the activity date and any change to the program date is subject to availability. What is the children’s policy?

Children’s participation is based mainly on height. Children over 4.6 ft may participate alone in any dolphin program by paying the adult rate. Children over 3.9 ft and up to 4.6 ft may participate alone in the Encounter program, but must be accompanied by a paying adult for Swim Adventure or Royal Swim. Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft may participate in the Encounter program with one paying adult, and must be accompanied by two paying adults for Swim Adventure or Royal Swim. Children under 3.3 ft are considered infants and may only participate in Encounter-style activities if the life jacket fits properly.

What activities are included in each program?

Program activities vary by experience. The Royal Swim includes interactive shallow and deep-water time with close-up with 2 dolphins plus interaction. The Swim Adventure includes in-water with 1 dolphin plus interaction with educational and interactive elements. The Dolphin Encounter is a shallow-water experience with educational information about dolphin behavior and anatomy.

How many guests are in the water at one time?

Maximum group sizes are typically 10 guests for Royal Swim, 12 guests for Swim Adventure, and 15 to 20 guests for Dolphin Encounter.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in and orientation.

Can I feed the dolphins?

No. Dolphins follow a carefully balanced diet, so guest feeding is not allowed.

Do you offer dolphin therapy programs?

No. The programs are educational and interactive, not therapy programs.

Do you provide transportation service?

No. Transportation service is not included at this location.

Will I need to wear a life jacket?

Yes. Life jackets are required in all water programs, and jackets are available in different sizes, including for small children when the fit is appropriate.

Can guests with disabilities participate?

Can I bring a camera?
