Wild Dolphin Swim Bimini, Bahamas

Dolphin World Travel and Tours pleasantly presents The Wild Dolphin Swim adventure in the beautiful waters off the island of  Bimini, Bahamas.

This is a great trip to continue your dream of Dolphin encounters, especially if you have done the Dolphin World.net Structured or Natural swim in captivity. The ability to spend 6 days and 5 nights aboard a comfortable sailing boat, on crystal clear water, searching for the most incredible animal in the world, you will truly have a island vacation to remember.

CAPTAIN AND BOAT

Captain Geoff was raised on a boat from childhood and has lived his life on the sea. He has been a skipper for several Atlantic crossings as well as cruising and working boats throughout the Bahamas Islands. His concern for the safety of his passengers and crew takes priority above all else. Geoff started his swims with the dolphins at the age of ten, while vacationing in Bimini with his family. The years since have instilled him with a deep love and respect for nature, especially for the wild dolphins. 

You will stay aboard a custom built fifty foot multi-hull sailboat. The sailboat is outfitted to suit the unique environment of these trips. Their advantage over other vessels is the beam width, which is unmatched in stability, comfort and safety. They also provide a large amount of privacy and open spaces for our guests.

This sailboat can accommodate from six to ten passengers. The aim of this trip is keeping the size of the group small, and providing a more intimate experience for you and the dolphins.

DOLPHINS

The Bahamas Banks are the only place in the world where wild dolphins are free to make their own choices about when and where to interact with you. The dolphins interactions may range from playing with us in the water or surfing in the bow of the cruising boat, to feeding and taking care of their young.

The dolphins themselves set the pace for the daily activities. This trip does not condone the touching, feeding or harassment in any way of dolphins or any other wildlife in the area. Nature sets the rules, and Captain Geoff has seen how beautifully this works.

BIMINI ISLAND

Despite the fact that Bimini is the Bahamian island closest to the U.S., sitting only 48 miles east of Miami and a short 25 minute flight, it's easy way to reminiscent of the past. The islands are draped with a relaxed atmosphere that is characteristic of the Out Islands.

Alice Town, the "commercial center" of Bimini, consists of a single quiet road called the King's Highway, lined with a few small necessity shops, a half dozen local restaurant and an equal number of friendly, down-home bars.

You will have a chance during your trip to experience some of the flavor of the island, by exploring the beaches and Alice Town. You'll see how charming it's people are and all the hospitality they offer.
