Sea Lion Swim Program is a 30 minute experience including touching, petting, playing, kissing on a platform and a deep natural ocean water pool. Most of the behaviors are in a deep water pool where you will pet, play and swim with the sea lion – You must be able to swim for this program. There are no rides or pushes by the sea lion in this experience but a natural free swim that you won’t be able to forget with them. Plus, Briefing Time with Trainer, Interacting with Birds, Reptiles, Stingrays, Shark Exhibit and more. 7 years old +
St Thomas USVI Sea Lion Swim Details:
- A 15-20 minute educational presentation prior to entering with the sea lion.
- A 30 minute deep salt water pool experience and some platform work with the sea lion.
- The Sea Lion Program includes: touching, kissing, feeding and training with a sea lion and the opportunity for a deep-water interaction, where you will free swim and continue to pet, play and touch the sea lion. (Approximately 1 1/2 hours with the Sea Lion, Presentation, Changing Time & Photo Lab)
- There are NO ride with the sea lion, no pushing or pulling by the sea lion during the swim portion of the experience.
- Group size: limited to 10 people to ensure a very personal experience.
- All Participants must be 7 years old and up
- Anyone within 7 – 9 years old, must have a paid Adult participant 1 Adult per 1 Child. An Adult is anyone over 16 years and up.
- Weight = 45lbs minimum
- A life vest is provided for use during the session. Guests should bring their own bathing suit and towel.
- Â You must be able to swim to participate in this program.
- In addition, you will get an opportunity to see Animal Exhibits with Tropical Fish, Birds, Rays, Sharks, and Sea Turtles. You could spend 3-4 hours in the facility.
- No Pregnant Women
- No Jewelry, Body Piercing, Fingernail Jewelry, Cameras, or Any Outside Objects in the water with the dolphins
- If you have any physical or mental limitation, please contact us before booking
- Must be able to understand directions given in English or have a paid family member or friend in the water to translate.
- Wet Suits can be provided at no extra cost during the winter months.
- Showers, changing room and lockers are provided at no cost.
- Please remember to use only Coral Safe Sunscreen in the USVI – It’s the law
- Observer are NOT allowed to come and watch this private program with the sea lion.

- Cruise ship passengers should carefully check what time their ship arrives in port and what time it departs. Please also confirm that your ship’s time is the same as St. Thomas local time, so you do not miss your activity or return to the ship late.

- Coral World is located adjacent to Coki Beach on Coki Point, a peninsula on the northeast shore of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- You will get complete ticket and directions either by email or text. You can not get lost.

Cruise Ship Passengers:
- Your Cruise Ship should enter the St Thomas Port by 7 to 8 am and leave Port by 5 to 6pm or later.
- St Thomas is on Atlantic Standard Time and cruise ships will be on boat time which means St Thomas might be one hour ahead of the ship time.
- Call Us if you are concerned about timing to make the program and get back to your cruise ship on time.
- You can take a taxi to Coral World. Taxis are readily available at the cruise ship docks, hotels and the downtown shopping district.
- If you want extra peace of mind, Dolphin World recommends arranging a private transfer with BW Tours VI Transportation. A private transfer can be helpful because you can plan your pickup and return around your cruise ship schedule and Coral World activity time.

- You can take your transportation or local taxi.
Photography
- Observer are not allowed to come and watch this private program with the sea lion.
- There will be professional photographer taking photos (No Video) of you and your group with the dolphins.
- A Photo starts @ $40 for individual photos, $99 for a download of all your photos, and the deluxe package of 5 photos plus photo album and unlimited downloads of all your photos @ $138.
- NO cameras allowed in the water with the sea lion.

In this program you and the sea lion will share a series of thrilling activities while establishing a unique bond. The South American sea lions on St Thomas US Virgin Islands offer guests a very special opportunity to get up close and personal with these intelligent yet very comical animals. After your orientation session, join a sea lion in a salt water pool for plenty of fun and educational interactions. You will have an many opportunity to touch, pet, and play games with the sea lions as they demonstrate their amazing agility. There will be a staff photographer who will take a lot of photos of your experience for purchase afterwards. Upon arrival, please proceed to check-in window, present your dolphin program confirmation number or your last name, which you will receive after making your reservation via email or text.
- Confirmation number is a must for entrance.
- You do not need to have a printed voucher.
- All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.
Refunds / Cancellations and Changes:
- A credit card is required to reserve admission and activities.
- The credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.
- Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled activity will receive a refund with no penalty.
- Cancellations made 72 to 48 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged a 30% service charge.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled activity will be charged the full amount.
- Guests who do not show up for their scheduled activity will be charged the full amount.
- No refunds will be given if guests do not meet the activity requirements set by Coral World Ocean Park.
- No refunds will be given to guests who refuse to participate because someone else in their party does not participate.
- A $50 re-booking fee will be charged for any changes made within 48 hours of the activity date.
- Name changes are excluded from the $50 re-booking fee.
- The re-booking fee does not apply to changes made on the day of the activity.
- If the cancellation penalty timeline applies, the cancellation policy will take priority over the re-booking fee.

Is it difficult to find taxis from the pier to Coral World location?
No, once you get off the ship, you will notice that there are available taxis along the street.
What services are offered in Coral World St Thomas?
We have cubicles for your belongings, dressing rooms, showers, restrooms and a snack bar with sandwiches, hotdogs, ice creams, French fries and sodas for sale.
What else could I do after my dolphin program in St Thomas?
You can view all the exhibits before or after your animal interaction like the following, Caribbean Reef Encounter, Stingray Lagoon, Shark Shallows, Touch Pool, Turtle Pool, Critter Corners, & Undersea Observatory Tower.
Is there an entrance fee for observers?
Yes, visitors and companions are welcomed to entered the park but can not go to watch the private sea lion program.
Is there a place where I can eat while I’m in the park?
Yes, we have a restaurant in case you want to eat something.
Could I have a towel if I swim with dolphins in St Thomas?
We advise you to take your own towel.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend to arrive to the check in time on your ticket and text.
Do you offer therapy programs with Sea Lion?
No, we currently do not have this service, our programs are educational and interactive. However, we invite you to contact us and we can review the participant’s disability and see if we can accommodate them.
Do you have transportation service?
No, for the moment we don’t offer transportation service.
Will I have to wear a life jacket?
The use of life jackets is required in all water programs, our staff will provide the jacket that best suits your complexion, we have jackets available in different sizes and for babies one year old and up.
For security reasons, is not allowed to use cameras in the water, professional photos will be available for sale.
What if there is inclement weather?
Our programs go on rain or shine, so there are no cancellations or refunds in these cases.
