Just an hour away in Marineland Florida, this experience brings you face-to-face with these amazing animals as you pet and feed them from a safe, dry poolside spot—no getting in the water and no swimsuit needed. It’s perfect for families and groups of friends to enjoy together, and it’s a budget-friendly way to meet the dolphins up close.

Marineland Dolphin Meet & Greet Near Daytona Beach Details:

Enjoy an exciting 15-minute, hands-on dolphin encounter where you’ll learn about Atlantic bottlenose dolphins up close during a fun poolside interaction.

Out-of-Water Dolphin Interaction: You will not go into the water with the dolphins at any time during this program. Plan for about 1 hour total on-site with the dolphins, including the presentation and Photo Lab. Every session is unique and varies based on the guests and the dolphins.

Age & Supervision Rules

  • All paid participants must be age 1+
  • Children under 5 must be accompanied by a paid participating adult (18+)
  • Note: children under 5 may need to be held and may not be able to complete all behaviors
  • Ages 6+ may participate, but must arrive with a paid adult participant or paid adult observer (adult = 18+)

Important Notes & Safety

  • Pregnant women are allowed
  • No jewelry, cameras, or any outside objects may be in/near the dolphin water
  • If you have any physical or mental limitations, please contact us before booking
  • Guests must be able to understand instructions in English, or bring a paid family member/friend to translate
  • Since you’ll be very close, you may get wet—swimwear is recommended
  • Please bring your own swimsuit and towel

  • All tickets include 7% sales tax and a 6% Marineland Park Ticketing Fee (required by the park and cannot be waived).

The time slots available includes a guaranteed dolphin touch and feed program, educational briefing, animal exhibits, changing time, & reviewing your photos. Total time of activities is about 1 1/2 – 2 hours.

If you bring an observer, they’re welcome to take photos and videos during your dolphin program, but they must remain in the designated observation area. A professional photographer will also be on-site to take photos (no video) of you and your group with the dolphins. Please note: participants may not bring cameras poolside with the dolphins.

For the Meet & Greet, digital photo packages are $35 (1 person), $70 (2 people), and $105 (3 people). Additional people are $30 per person, and single digital photos are $25 each.

Redemption Instructions

When you arrive, go to the check-in window and provide your dolphin program confirmation number or last name (sent after you book). Your confirmation number is required for entry. You do not need to print a voucher. All customers/participants must sign a liability waiver before taking part in the activity.

Refunds, cancellations, and changes must be submitted to Dolphin World / Keys Adventure Tours, Inc. in writing by email, dolphinworldresponse@gmail.com . Cancellations made more than 31 days before the activity date are subject to a 10% service charge per person. Cancellations made 30–15 days before the activity date are subject to a 50% service charge per person, and cancellations made 14–8 days before the activity date are subject to a 75% service charge per person. Prior to 8 days before your reservation date, you may change your reservation to a gift certificate with no penalties other than the change fee; the gift certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

No refunds will be given to participants who cancel within 7 days of the activity date, do not show up, or arrive late for scheduled programs. Once a reservation has a confirmation number and is confirmed, refunds or changes can only be made more than 7 days before the activity date, and any date change is subject to availability. Changes to existing reservations are subject to a $25.00 per person change fee. Dolphin programs operate rain or shine.

We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect your purchase in case of interruptions to your Dolphin World activities. We recommend TravelEx Insurance—ask a Dolphin World travel professional for guidance on selecting travel insurance.

How many dolphins does the Dolphin Facility have? The Dolphin Facility is home to 14 Atlantic bottlenose dolphins—8 females and 6 males.

Are there dolphin shows? The Dolphin Facility no longer offers formal dolphin shows, but you can still watch the dolphins play and see them up close during our interactive programs.

What can I do as a general admission guest? General admission guests can view the dolphins through large 6 x 10 foot acrylic windows as they swim, play, and interact with guests, all alongside the beautiful Atlantic coastline.

Does the Dolphin Facility have a restaurant on-site? No, there is not a restaurant on-site. We recommend bringing your own food or grabbing a bite in St. Augustine or Daytona Beach.

Is the Dolphin Facility all outdoors? What might the weather be like? Yes, the entire facility is outdoors and sits directly on Florida’s coastline, so plan as you would for a day at the beach. In mid-summer, expect humid temperatures in the 80s and 90s, with possible afternoon showers and brief thunderstorms that may delay your program. In winter, daytime temperatures can range from the 40s to 70s, with breezy winds off the water. Whether you’re visiting or participating in a program, eat normally, stay well hydrated, and bring sunscreen, a protective hat or clothing, and sunglasses.

Is the Dolphin Facility wheelchair accessible? Yes, the facility is wheelchair accessible, and we can accommodate many other special needs.

Do the programs still go on when it rains? Programs run rain or shine. If lightning makes conditions unsafe for water entry, programs may be postponed until later in the day. Programs are only canceled for hurricanes.

Are the interactive programs in the ocean? No, all programs take place in our 1.3 million gallon pool facility.

Where do I check in for the interactive programs? Check in at the Gift Shop at the entrance to the Dolphin Facility. You must present the dolphin ticket you received by email or text.

Is there anything else to do before or after the dolphin program? Yes, you’ll have free access to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your own chair, towels, drinks, and food and enjoy some beach time.

How do I get to the Dolphin Facility? After you make your reservation, you’ll receive your ticket and complete directions by email or text.

Can other family members take pictures of me during my program? Yes, family members can watch and take photos from the general admission area during your interaction.

Do I get to touch the dolphins when doing an interactive program? Yes, interactive programs include plenty of opportunities to touch the dolphins and enjoy a variety of up-close interactions.

Do I get to touch the dolphins as a general admission guest? No, general admission allows you to watch the programs, but not participate.

What do I need to bring for the interactive programs? For in-water programs, bring a swimsuit and towel. For dock-side programs, wear something you’re comfortable getting splashed in.

Are wetsuits and life jackets available? Yes, wetsuits and life jackets are available at no additional charge.
