Redemption Instructions

Upon arrival, please proceed to check-in window, present your dolphin program confirmation number or your last name, which you will receive after making your reservation via email or text.

• Confirmation number is a must for entrance.
• You do not need to have a printed voucher.
• All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.

Refunds / Cancellations and Changes:

All cancellations must be received by Dolphin World / Keys Adventure Tours, Inc. in writing by email or regular mail.

• A 10% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations prior 31 days of activity date.
• A 50% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 30 – 15 day period prior activity date.
• A 75% service charge will apply per person for any cancellations within 14 – 8 day period prior activity date.
• Prior 8 days of your reservation date, you may change your reservation to a gift certificate, where you would not incur any penalties except the change fee. This gift certificate will be good for 1 year from the date of the certificate.
• NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS who cancel within the 7 day period, does not show up, are late for scheduled program(s). Once a reservation has a confirmation number and confirmed, a refund or change can only be made more than 7 days of the activity date and any change to the program date is subject to availability. Changes made to existing reservations are subject to a $25.00 per person change fee.

Where is Dolphin Discovery in Cozumel?

Dolphin Discovery Cozumel is located inside Chankanaab Natural Park, at approximately km 9.6 on the southern coastal highway, about 15 minutes from San Miguel de Cozumel.

Does my dolphin program include admission to Chankanaab Park?

Yes. Guests booked in a dolphin program receive included admission to Chankanaab Park and may enjoy the park facilities during their visit.

How far is Dolphin Discovery Cozumel from the cruise dock?

The dolphin facility is usually about 15 to 20 minutes from the cruise dock, depending on traffic and which pier your ship uses.

Is transportation included from the dock to Dolphin Discovery?

No. Transportation is not included. Taxis are easy to find at the cruise pier, and a taxi to Chankanaab is commonly around $15 USD each way for up to 4 people, though rates may vary.

Is it easy to find a taxi in Cozumel?

Yes. Taxis are usually available right outside the cruise pier, and you can also arrange a taxi back from the park after your visit.

How much is Chankanaab Park admission if I am not doing a dolphin program?

Park admission for visitors is currently about $29 USD per adult, $20 USD per child ages 4 to 12, and free for children under 3. Guests booked in a dolphin swim program receive park admission at no extra charge.

What can I do at Chankanaab Park besides swimming with dolphins?

Guests can enjoy the natural setting of Chankanaab Park, including time by the sea, snorkeling or diving areas, and the rest of the park’s attractions and facilities.

Do I have to pay extra to snorkel or dive at Chankanaab Park?

The activity itself is free, but mask and fin rental is about $15 USD per person. Guests who bring their own snorkeling gear may use it instead.

What are Chankanaab Park hours?

Chankanaab Park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What should I bring to Chankanaab Park?

We recommend bringing a swimsuit, water shoes or tennis shoes, a towel, sunglasses, a hat or cap, and extra spending money. Cameras are not allowed in the water during the dolphin program.

What is the children’s policy?

Children’s participation is based mainly on height. Children over 4.6 ft may participate alone in any dolphin program by paying the adult rate. Children over 3.9 ft and up to 4.6 ft may participate alone in the Encounter program, but must be accompanied by a paying adult for Swim Adventure or Royal Swim. Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft may participate in the Encounter program with one paying adult, and must be accompanied by two paying adults for Swim Adventure or Royal Swim. Children under 3.3 ft are considered infants and may only participate in Encounter-style activities if the life jacket fits properly.

What activities are included in each program?

Program activities vary by experience. The Royal Swim includes interactive shallow and deep-water time with close-up dolphin interaction. The Swim Adventure includes in-water dolphin interaction with educational and interactive elements. The Dolphin Encounter is a shallow-water experience with educational information about dolphin behavior and anatomy.

How many guests are in the water at one time?

Maximum group sizes are typically 10 guests for Royal Swim, 12 guests for Swim Adventure, and 15 to 20 guests for Dolphin Encounter.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in and orientation.

Can I feed the dolphins?

No. Dolphins follow a carefully balanced diet, so guest feeding is not allowed.

Do you offer dolphin therapy programs?

No. The programs are educational and interactive, not therapy programs.

Do you provide transportation service?

No. Transportation service is not included at this location.

Will I need to wear a life jacket?

Yes. Life jackets are required in all water programs, and jackets are available in different sizes, including for small children when the fit is appropriate.

Can guests with disabilities participate?

Guests with disabilities may be able to participate, but advance review is recommended so the best program and any needed assistance can be determined.

Can I bring a camera?

For safety reasons, cameras are not allowed in the water during the dolphin program. Professional photos are available for purchase separately.

Can pregnant women participate?

Pregnant women are not allowed in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs. The Dolphin Encounter may be an option for women up to 5 months pregnant, subject to signing a waiver and being accompanied by another adult.

What happens if it rains?

Programs operate rain or shine, and there are no cancellations or refunds for inclement weather.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 5 days before the scheduled date may qualify for a refund, less a 10% bank charge. Cancellations made with less than 4 days’ notice do not qualify for a refund.
